Job Summary

ROLE OVERVIEW

ACRE Africa is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Young Professional to support our Communications team. This opportunity is designed for an early-career professional eager to learn and grow in the fields of communications, agriculture, climate resilience, and risk management across Africa. The role will provide hands-on exposure to content creation, digital engagement, and communications operations. The successful candidate will assist in managing social media and digital platforms, support the development of communication materials, and provide administrative and coordination support for ongoing projects. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and build professional skills in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Content Development 

  • Assist in planning and executing multi-channel content strategies
  • Draft, edit, and refine high-quality written materials (e.g. blog posts, reports, newsletters, press releases)
  • Curate compelling stories showcasing ACRE Africa’s impact in agriculture and climate resilience

Digital Engagement

  • Manage and schedule content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Monitor analytics and prepare monthly performance reports with actionable insights
  • Support updates to ACRE Africa’s website and digital repositories

Administrative, Business Operations & Coordination Support

  • Coordinate meetings, and maintain documentation for communications projects
  • Assist in organizing virtual and in-person events, webinars, and stakeholder engagements
  • Liaise with vendors and consultants for communication-related deliverables

Research & Knowledge Management

  • Translate insights from reports and analyses into compelling narratives and strategic content that position ACRE Africa as a thought leader in agricultural insurance and climate resilience.
  • Maintain a structured repository of case studies, visuals, and branded assets
  • Support development of strategic presentations and donor reports

Operations and Project Implementation 

  • Support in operational activities across the business
  • Support in project implementations including field visits, training, and project administrative task. 

 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Business Administration or a related field
  • 1 years’ experience in communications and/or administrative roles (preferably within agriculture, insurance, or climate resilience sectors)
